Situation > Lake County Schools Gymnasium A/C renovation project for Oak Park Middle,
Clermont Middle and Clermont Elementary schools. The scope of work consisted of demolition,
fabrication/installation of duct work, new conduits, installation of new motorized dampers,
new fi re alarm, new electric, installation of chain link fence and gates.

Action > T&G was challenged with working within three fully occupied and operational
school buildings during the busy spring semester. Another major challenge was isolating
construction areas from the students/staff and FCAT testing.

Results > T&G’s experience in working with occupied facilities – specifi callly in a K-12 educational
setting – allowed not only for uncompromised safety (a priority in every educational
institution) but also uninterrupted school activities. Constant communication with school
principals on sequencing of construction allowed for both the faculty/staff/students and
contsruction team to occupy the same facility with little to no impact. Details like unit delivery
and installation and concrete pouring were scheduled around bus drop off/pick up times.
