Situation > Miami-Dade College Wolfson Campus’ cafeteria had an exhaust grease leak in the loading dock that caused the building to hold a stench. T&G was selected to provide construction services to create a new infrastructure and move the exhaust piping. Specific scope items included renovation of the computer media center, a new ceiling, wall, lighting, electrical and all new raised flooring to allow for piping and electrical work to run underneath.

Action > T&G worked over the student’s Christmas holiday break in order to minimize interference with school operation hours. In order to meet the deadline T&G worked 3rd shift once the holiday break was over to ensure no students were disturbed. After several design changes they were still able to finish the project on time and on budget.

Results > T&G Held weekly on site meetings with the architect to ensure the best quality workmanship was being carried out through the designs. T&G’s ability to constantly finish on time and on budget has resulted in a long standing relationship with Miami-Dade College.
