Situation > T&G entered into a preconstruction agreement with Doubletree Galleria and promptly priced the guest room and corridor renovations, introducing some cost savings as a part of that process. The lobby and meeting space scope of work required some additional cost savings efforts. T&G was ultimately successful at getting both scopes of work under contract while adding value throughout the preconstruction process.
Action > T&G is diligently working stay within the aggressive schedule set to complete the guestroom portion and will begin the public space scope of work in April, with some overlap between. The schedule is being constantly monitored and adjusted in accordance with input from hotel operations with regards to functions and group sales.
Results > T&G is continuously communicating with the ownership and design teams. The updated guestroom and corridors at this property have already received multiple compli-ments from hotel guests, with the public space to certainly continue to impress as the scope of work begins at the meeting space and registration areas.
